, PhD is career changer with a passion for personal financial planning. He grew up in the financial industry, as his father was Ed Anderson, who passed in 2012. A partner with Tweedy Browne from 1968 until 1983, Ed was an original member of “The Graham Group” with Warren Buffett and took pleasure in the group’s annual gatherings and learning from each of the individuals.
With this as his background, Steve made his first mutual fund investments in 1979 at the age of 10. He went on to obtain a PhD in Ecology from UC Davis, and had a successful career as a scientist, but returned to his financial roots in 2004. He joined Navion in 2008 and is now a Senior Financial Planner, using his trained mind and eye for detail to produce excellent financial plans.
